How this guide works.
This independent guide researches Kentucky distilleries and brand visitor centers. Visitor access varies by place and experience. It lists members of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® and places outside it the same way, with no paid placement and no rankings.
Where the facts come from
Hours, tours, reservations, food, kids and dogs policies and accessibility notes come from each place’s own website and official pages. History milestones come from dated public records and reports, each linked. The place list was checked October 14 and 15, 2026.
Hours and time zones
67 places publish weekly hours, shown in each place’s own time zone: most of Kentucky is on Eastern Time and the western part is on Central Time. Places that publish no weekly schedule show their own wording or a note to call ahead. The guide never guesses that a place is open.
History
The guide holds 268 dated milestones. Each says exactly what happened, because a company founding, a first distillation and a visitor opening are different events.
Drive times
Drive times are estimates from straight-line distance at typical rural road speeds. Your map app will give the real route.
Plan a driver
Tastings add up quickly. Every plan here assumes a sober driver or a professional tour company.

Run a distillery, or spot something out of date? Send the source and the listing will be checked and updated.
